Alzheimer’s Dementia Medications Shown to Make Things WORSE!
New Research Backs Dr Bredesen’s View of Amyloid Plaques
Alzheimer’s drug research is based on the idea that Amyloid Plaques are the root cause of Alzheimer’s Dementia. Dr Bredesen, whose “ReCODE” Alzheimer’s treatment protocol has saved my wife’s life, maintains that these plaques are a result of the brain attempting to defend itself from a range of possible “insults” and are an indicator of a problem not the cause.
A recent study published by the Salk Institute supports Dr Bredesen’s view. The study distinguishes between two types of plaques, “dense core” and “diffuse” plaques. I’m no biologist but here’s my attempt to explain what happens: trash-clearing immune system cells called microglia eat the diffuse amyloid cells in the Alzheimer’s sufferer’s brain and deposit them into the dense core plaques. The study further showed that a brain with more dense core plaques and fewer diffuse plaques, is healthier in terms of neuronal damage.
Current Alzheimer’s medications, universally ineffective in treating symptoms, concentrate on breaking up the dense core plaques which the Salk study strongly suggests can make things worse.
I’ve mentioned terrain medicine versus germ theory in a past post. By attempting to remedy the end result rather than the causes, Alzheimer’s medicine will continue to make little if any progress in dealing with this deadly killer.
As a generalist and an outsider, I’m driven by outcomes, if your theory is good, it should produce the desired result or make positive steps in that direction. What we’ve seen from the mainstream Alzheimer’s medical establishment is a comprehensive failure to make any difference to an Alzheimer’s patient’s outcomes despite hundreds of drug trials and billions of dollars spent. Dr Bredesen and his teams are producing phenomenal results with early stage Alzheimer’s so deserve a lot more attention than they’re getting. I’ve mentioned Dr Semmelweiss and his stunning 1847 result improving postnatal mortality in a few weeks, it seems that history is repeating itself with many people dying of Alzheimer’s despite phenomenal results showing the condition to be treatable.
I’ve been accused of being anti-doctor but nothing could be further from the truth. My brother is currently in hospital awaiting open heart surgery following a serious heart attack, he is alive owing to medical advances in both the cardiac and triage fields. A few years ago we would have been attending his funeral this week. Huge advances are commonplace in medicine, Covid 19 Vaccines being an example. Why is the Alzheimer’s medical establishment still at the same place as Dr Alzheimer when he described the condition in 1906?
My wife Ann continues to make progress with an ongoing improvement in mood and function, this despite zero rehabilitation care. It’s two months since her latest rehabilitation treatment assessment, this week’s task is to push for a decision. Ann represents an inconvenient truth for the Alzheimer’s medical establishment as she embodies their failures in treating the condition. I worry that past attempts to sweep her recovery under the rug will continue, I’ll keep you posted.

Keep this thought uppermost: “Alzheimer’s is treatable for most sufferers, especially in the early stages”. That’s fact borne out by results, not magical thinking.
